Switching to Xanga.

Blogger just doesn’t work well for me here in Peru. It’s gotten to the point where I have to email my posts to my good friend Meredith and she posts them for me in Georgia. While that’s awesome of her, it’s just not awesome for me, so I’m switching to Xanga. My new blog is here:

An update!

I have a ton of pictures to share, and it’s too hard to pick just a few, so here’s a whole bunch. We went to Arica, Chile this weekend to visit and speak at a church there and it was great. The people there seemed to be very genuine and warm. We’ll be going back this weekend—with my parents!—to speak at a different church there.

So, here’s some pictures of Chile and some pictures of the more real side of Arequipa. There are a lot of pretty things in Arequipa, like the people and the landscape, but there are a lot of not so pretty things too.

Julber! He’s been doing well for more than a month now, and playing like he never has been able to before!

La Playa y Cosas Asi!

We went out to the Pacific Ocean last Friday. Pretty sweet, check out the pictures. Also, we are getting organized in taking care of Julber and we have a website started, so please visit that as well by clicking here. God has actually been speaking to me, which has not happened to me so much for a long time. I have been struggling so much with fear and then one night it was like, bam – Romans 8:15 outta nowhere! If you want the details, shoot me an email and I’ll be glad to fill you in.

Everybody Clap Your Hands! It's Picture Time! (The First of Three Installments).

I have had so much trouble with computers here. So the best way to do this, is to make three separate posts. Silly, I know, but it's for the best.

My new casita (little house)!

My little Spanish dresser!

Memories of the good old office days. (But, as a disclaimer, I had to pry Gin Gin away from her office in order to force her to photocopy her face as well. We didn't do this sort of thing all the time.)

Photo Installment Numero Dos

This was above my bed when I moved in. Pobrecito.

This is the switch you flip after you start the water for a shower. It uses electricity to make your shower hot. It's called a "Widowmaker." Yeah.

Mi banito!

My sad ceiling.

Sweet fruit. Totally sweet, man.

A restaurant that's about as cheap as Bojangles'.
